1. Greek Food Festival

Where/When: Enjoy all the baklava you can eat at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church’s biannual Greek food festival, running Thursday, May 19, through Sunday, May 22, at the church, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem. Hours are 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. and 12 p.m.- 6p.m. Sunday.

Why go: Italian grandmothers get all the hype, but Greek β€œyia-yias” have it going on, too.

2. Dine and Dash

Where/When: Art, fine food and history combine in downtown Bethlehem, Friday, May 20, with this Civil War exhibit museum crawl beginning at 5 p.m., at the Kemerer Museum, 427 N. New Street.

Why go: Three exhibits, food and spirits and stimulating lectures to boot. A perfect marriage.

3. Brewmaster’s β€œBeers of Spring” Dinner

Where/When: Sample the latest drafts paired with three courses of delectable eats at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, in the High Gravity room at the Allentown Brew Works, 812 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown.

Why go: It’s not every day you can sample duck confit and Arctic char with beers chosen to bring out their best qualities.

4. Billy Bauer Band

Where/When: Unwind thanks to the Billy Bauer Band in Air Products Town Square at the SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way Bethlehem, 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 20.

Why go: The tunes and the view promise to be spectacular.

5. β€œSeabiscuit” in the park

Where/When: Pull up a lawn chair, grab a friend and watch the heartwarming story of β€œSeabiscuit,” playing at Burnside Plantation, 1461 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem, Friday, May 20. Movie starts at dusk. (Rain date: May 21.)

Why go: Arrive early and you can meet Bethlehem’s mounted patrol team.
