HOWLS Group Outfits Salisbury K-9 Officer With Bulletproof Vest
The Hounds On Working Leashes group was recognized Thursday night for purchasing a bulletproof ballistic vest for Salisbury Township K-9 officer Fonzie.

Members of Hounds on Working Leashes (HOWLS) were honored by the Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners Thursday night for raising $1,250 to outfit K-9 officer Fonzie with a bulletproof ballistic vest.
James Kutz, president of the organization, said the group has provided six ballistic vests for K-9 officers throughout the Lehigh Valley.
Kutz said Bill and Ruth Rohrer of Whitehall raised the money to outfit Fonzie with his new vest.
Hounds on Working Leashes is a non-profit organization that is here to raise funds for the purpose of saving lives of emergency service dogs. The organization provides police departments with what they are in need of to make K-9 officers safe and a better and more efficient asset to their partner and community.
The group raises money for ballistic vests, stab vests, food, grooming products and for the general care of emergency service dogs.
