KidsPeace Housing Immigrant Refugee Children
The KidsPeace Family Center, at 1850 Broadway, is now housing immigrant refugee children until they can be placed. Township officials see no problem with the program.

Salisbury Township officials see no problems stemming from a KidsPeace Family Center program that houses immigrant refugee children from Central America and South America.
At a recent meeting, Police Chief Allen Stiles expressed concerns about not being advised in advance about the program.
"I don't see any problems," said Township Manager Randy Soriano in response to questions from a township resident.

"ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) will take the appropriate action if something happens," Soriano said. "It's no burden on the police department. It's a worthwhile thing and [the children] are probably very happy to be there."
Soriano said KidsPeace is increasing security staff at the location and that the staff and programs there will be of help to the children.
