Leaky Municipal Building Roof Will Be Fixed Soon

Commissioners are set to select a contractor to fix the township building's leaking roof at Thursday night's meeting.

The leaking roof in the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, which has caused problems including mold and water damage, will be fixed shortly.

Township commissioners are set to select Alan Kunsman Roofing & Siding of Freemansburg to fix the leaking roof.

The cost of the repairs have not yet been determined, but will be made public at Thursday night's Salisbury Township Commissioners meeting.

Water damage is noticeable inside the building, specifically outside the meeting room.

Commissioner Joanne Ackerman said a township resident pointed out mold growing on the outside of the building.

At a recent commissioners meeting, President James Brown told Township Manager Randy Soriano that the roof should be torn apart and fixed to correct the problem once and for all.
