Lehigh Valley Hospital Fatality was Nun

Sister Angelita taught at Pen Argyl school, report says.

The transplant patient who died in January after being improperly administered insulin,Β  was remembered as a beloved nun who taught sixth grade in Pen Argyl, according a report in The Morning Call.

Sister Maria Angelita Soliman Quito, 51, a Phillipine native, taught sixth grade at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Pen Argyl, the report said.

Monsignor Vincent P. York, pastor of St. Elizabeth's, recalled Sister Angelita as a humble, prayerful woman, the article said. "She was a very giving person," he said. "She was very much beloved by the community, especially the school community."

Quito's lawyer, Wayne Schaible of Philadelphia, saidΒ  faulty blood sugar testing strips and communication breakdowns, contributed to his client's death, the report said.
