New Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse Opens on Lehigh Street
The new Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse in Allentown features a gourmet salad bar and slow-grilled meats carved table side by 'gauchos.'
The owners of The Melting Pot fondue restaurant in Bethlehem have added another unique dining experience to the Lehigh Valley restaurant scene with the opening of Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse at 2805 Lehigh Street in Allentown.
Rodizio is located next to The Tilted Kilt at the site of what used to be a Bob Evans restaurant just off I-78.
Rodizio features a gourmet salad bar and rotisserie grilled meats—including beef, pork, poultry and lamb—that are seasoned and slow roasted.

After you visit the salad bar, return to your table where friendly "gauchos" bring steak and other roasted meat to you on a long skewer and carve it tableside. Each table setting includes metal tongs so patrons can grab the morsels as they are carved.
Sausage, fish, vegetables and even roasted pineapple are among the offerings.

The steakhouse offers two dining options:
Full Rodizio (unlimited appetizers, salad bar, grilled meats)
- Lunch: $16.99
- Dinner: $27.99
Salads only (unlimited appetizers and salad bar, which includes chicken salad, pasta alfredo and beef stroganoff)
- Lunch: $11.99
- Dinner: $16.99
Cost for children:
- Ages 7-11: $8.99 all day
- Ages 3-6: $5.99 all day
The Allentown location is the 14th Rodizio Grill to open nationwide. The restaurant chain dates back to 1995. Call 610-351-2900 for reservations.
Rodizio's co-owners, Kevin O'Leary and Charlie LaRose, also own three Melting Pots in the Philadelphia area, according to the Morning Call's Retail Watch column.
