Hunt for Kimberly Cardona's Killer Led to Dominican Republic

The Salisbury Township police chief said the evidence that will be brought out in the Kimberly Cardona homicide trial is 'going to be very interesting.'

Salisbury Township police and other investigators followed a trail of clues to find 's alleged killer that led them to New York City, New Jersey and the Dominican Republic, according to township Police Chief Allen Stiles.

20, of Allentown was arrested and charged Aug. 2 with the beating and stabbing death of Cardona, 20, of Whitehall. Her body was found July 5 off wooded Lanze Lane by a Nunez told police he had gotten into an argument with Cardona and Nunez's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday.

"Once it's brought out at trial, it's going to be very interesting," Stiles told the Salisbury Board of Commissioners at its meeting last week.

"It was a long, exhaustive investigation" that took many hours of overtime and produced "an overwhelming amount of information," he said. "I was very proud of how we handled it."
