State Champions! Salisbury Boys Swimmers Win Gold
The PIAA 2A championship marks the first team state title in Salisbury School District history.

The Salisbury High School boys swimming team made school history Thursday night at Bucknell University by winning the PIAA 2A state championship, according to a report in The Morning Call.Â
Salisbury finished with 151 points, edging Franklin Area who had 143 and Bellefonte Area with 138.
"Way to go Salisbury swimmers! You ALL work so hard and put in many hours in the pool! A great group of swimmers!," wrote Mary Cilalkowski on the Salisbury School District's Facebook page.

"And, we don't even have a pool," noted Facebook poster Mark Mixa.
The Morning Call report and the district's Facebook page noted that the team championship came down to the 400-meter freestyle relay, where the foursome of Jon Dakota Anderson, Tim Costantini, Garrett Collins and Eric Tatum took the event to secure the gold medal.
