Salisbury Commissioners Pass $11.9 Million Budget for 2013
Salisbury Township's $11.9 million budget for 2013 includes an average $30 increase for property owners.

The Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners passed an $11.9 million budget for 2013 last week that will result in a 10 percent tax increase.
The increase was largely due to the addition of a new police officer and two public works employees to understaffed departments amidst declining revenue and increased expenses.
The total real estate tax will increase to 1.42103 mills, which would mean a property owner would pay an estimated $330.70 a year on a property assessed at an average $232,400. The average increase comes to $30.
