Salisbury Doctor Allegedly Prescribed 17,000 Pain Pills
Dr. John R. Manzella, of Lehigh Parkway North, allegedly wrote fraudulent prescriptions for up to 17,000 Oxycodone pills.

A Salisbury Township doctor, who faces charges in New Jersey that he allegedly allowed painkiller prescriptions to be written in his name, had prescribed up to 17,000 Oxycodone pills, according to a report in The Morning Call.Â
The report states that Dr. John R. Manzella, 48, of the 1900 block of Lehigh Parkway North in Salisbury Township wrote prescriptions for Oxycodone pills and verified them.
Manzella was indicted on May 14, according to an article in the Times-News. He was released without bail, charged with Manzella is charged with conspiracy to allow the unlawful practice of medicine and forgery.
The Times-News article states Manzella has offices in Jim Thorpe and Palmerton.
