Salisbury Sets Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing

Residents are encouraged to attend Salisbury Township's public hearing on its comprehensive plan, a blueprint for the community's future.

will hold a public hearing on the township's at 7:30 p.m. July 26.

Residents are encouraged to comment on the comprehensive plan, which helps sets the direction for the township's growth and development over the next 10 to 15 years. The plan, which was last revised in 1992, is required by the state Municipal Planning Code.

The plan will provide an overview of Salisbury Township and map out a strategy for use of its community facilities and services, community development and revitalization, environmental conservation, land use and housing, recreation and open space and transportation and traffic.

The Planning Commission has been working on the revision with Urban Research & Development Corporation, a consulting firm in Bethlehem, for more than a year.

Copies of the comprehensive plan can be viewed on the Salisbury Township website or at the municipal building, 2900 S. Pike Ave.
