Salisbury Township Man Dies of Gunshot Wound To Abdomen
Police still investigating case, autopsy to be conducted.
Police are investigating the death of a young man who was shot Thursday evening at a home in Salisbury Township, said Salisbury Township Police Chief Allen Stiles.
The man's name has not been released until next of kin are notified.
Two Salisbury Township police units were dispatched at about 6:05 p.m. for a report of a gunshot at a home at 1102 Americus Avenue.

"Our officers found a young adult male with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the abdomen," Stiles said.
The man was taken Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he later died of his injury, Stiles said. An autopsy will be conducted, he said.

"The incident is still under active investigation by the Salisbury Township Police, assisted by the Lehigh County District Attorney's office and county detectives," Stiles said.
A published report indicates the shooting may have been accidental.
