Salisbury Water Rates Increase

Salisbury Township residents will pay more for their water this year, the result of a water rate increase in the city of Allentown.

The passed an ordinance Thursday that raises the rate from $5.16 to $5.30 for each 1,000 gallons of water a customer uses. The ordinance is retroactive to January 1, 2012.

The average water consumption in Salisbury ranges between 15,000 gallons and 25,000 gallons, Township Manager Randy Soriano said. The
