Speed Limit On Section Of Fish Hatchery Road Could Be Reduced To 25 mph

Section behind Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest to Lower Macungie Township line.

The Salisbury Township board of commissioners will consider reducing the speed limit to 25 mph on a small section of Fish Hatchery Road that extends from Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest's rear driveway to the Lower Macungie Township border.

The speed limit on Fish Hatchery Road west of Cedar Crest Boulevard is currently 35 mph. A sign that says "reduced speed ahead, 25 mph" would begin at the Lehigh Valley Health Network Driveway, followed by four 25 mph signs in Salisbury Township.

The board, which discussed the speed reduction at their March 24 meeting, will consider an ordinance that will reduce the speed limit on the largely residential road which has seen increased traffic.
