Sunday Best: Cheech and Chong plus Grossology
Jazz Sunday, featuring wine and jazz music, takes place Sunday at nearby Vynecrest Winery.

Comedians, Cheech & Chong, entertain at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center at 7 p.m. Sunday. The opening act is the 70’s classic funk band War, which scored hits with records like “Low Rider,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” and “The Cisco Kid.”
The Sands has built a daylong event around the musical/comedy concert as a “Lowrider” car show in the parking lot outside the event center will begin at 10 a.m. More than 60 of these customized cars with hydraulic suspension systems are expected to participate. The car show is free. Tickets for Cheech & Chong start at $39.50.
The Grossology Exhibit is featured at the DaVinci Science Center, located at 3145 Hamilton Boulevard Bypass in Allentown. Sunday hours are from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $11.95 for adults; $8.95 for children ages 4-12, seniors 62 and up and military members.
Also taking place Sunday:
- Jazz Sunday, featuring wine and jazz music, will be held at 1 p.m. at Vyncrest Winery, located at 172 Arrowhead Lane in Breinigsville. Sit back, relax with some wine and listen to great jazz music. A tour of the facility begins at 1 p.m. Sunday. The tour costs $5 per person.
- The Pennsylvania Blues Festival runs through Sunday at Blue Mountain Ski Area with blues luminaries including Guy Davis, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Ruthie Foster, Ivan Neville and Bobby Rush scheduled to perform.
- Are the kids hungry? They'll eat for free Sunday at the Buckeye Tavern, located at 3741 Brookside Road in Macungie.
