Swain School Announces Openings
Students come from 20 area school districts to attend Swain, a private, coeducational school in Salisbury Township
announced it has limited openings for most grades for the upcoming fall term. Swain is an independent, coeducational school for preschool through 8th grade.
“We especially want area families to know about our full day kindergarten program,” Todd Stansbery, Head of School, said in a press release. “It offers a learning environment that focuses on academic excellence as well as character-building.”
The kindergarten program includes core subjects such as reading, writing, math and social studies. The students enjoy weekly sessions with specialists teaching science, art, theater, music, technology, physical education and Spanish. Numerous field trips throughout the year complement the curriculum.

They partner with older students in the school’s Buddy Program, and attend many school-wide activities. As part of the music and art curriculum, they are included in the school’s concerts and annual Student Art Show.
Swain’s preschool (age 3) and pre-kindergarten (age 4) classes also have a limited number of openings. Children may attend for full day or half day sessions, and for the entire week or a portion of the week.
