Swain School Summer Programs

Kids can choose from among a wide variety of opportunities, from art and yoga to archery and public speaking to digital photography and math refreshers

The Swain School has announced plans for its summer programs, β€œSwain’s Summer Experience”, open to all children in the community, ages 3 to rising 9th graders. Programs are offered on Swain’s 20-acre campus at 1100 S. 24th St., Salisbury Township.

Kids can choose from among a wide variety of opportunities, from art and yoga to archery and public speaking to digital photography and math refreshers. Programs run from three-day classes to two-week-long sessions. Sports camps for basketball, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey are also included.

Other opportunities include sessions on how to write a book with local published author, Eric Wight, creator of theΒ Frankie PickleΒ series. Swain faculty will also provide opportunities to learn Chinese, dissect critters, cook international cuisine, or brush up sports skills, among many others.

For those needing a more regular program, Swain’s DayCampers option is open every day from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., beginning Monday, June 13 and running through Friday, August 19 (not open on Monday, July 4). Students can drop in as needed, wrap around other Summer Experience programs, or come for the day or week.

DayCampers will be busy working in Swain’s organic garden, playing games and sports, making videos, putting on plays, creating projects, reading, sprinkler time and much more.
