Thursday in Salisbury: LV Storm and Match 6 Lotto Jackpot

The Great Allentown Fair continues at the Allentown Fairgrounds Thursday.

Thursday, Aug, 29 is expected to feature partly sunny skies with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon and a high temperature of 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Here's what's going on in and around Salisbury Township Thursday:

  • The Lehigh Valley Storm, a minor league football team, have advanced to the league's championship game. You can see the team prepare for the championship game when they practice at Salisbury High School Thursday at 7 p.m.
  • Nobody won Monday's Pennsylvania Lottery’s Match 6 Lotto jackpot, so it keeps rolling ever higher into record territory. The jackpot for Thursday's drawing has grown to $4.6 million, the game’s third-largest jackpot on record. The current jackpot run started after one ticket matched all six winning numbers in the May 13 drawing. Match 6 tickets cost $2 each. Players can choose six numbers from 1 to 49 or have numbers randomly selected by computer. To see if you have winning numbers, or find out how to play, click here.
