5 Things to Know This Week: Baseball Championships, Senior Night, Summer Music Series

1. QV Boys Baseball in PIAA Tournament
The Quaker Valley varsity boys baseball team advances to the PIAA Championships against Sagertown in the first round of the tournament. The game begins at 6 p.m. Monday, June 3 at Jerry Uht Park in Erie.2. Kindergarten Prep
This new summer program is geared specifically toward children entering kindergarten in the fall. Join the Sewickley Public Library's children's department from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 and every other Wednesday for an engaging evening of stories, songs and activities to help prepare for kindergarten. (Only open to those entering kindergarten). Register.3. Annual 'Redd Up' at the Sewickley YMCA
Every year the Sewickley Valley YMCA closes portions of its facility to conduct annual maintenance. During the brief disruption, the track, free weight room and wellness center will be closed June 3 and June 4 (Except instructor led classes in the CV Gym). On June 5, 6 and 7, the track and wellness center will be closed.4. Summer Music Series
Sweetwater's "Summer Music Series" takes place every Friday in June from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wolcott Park. Mal Scoppa and the Tall Tales will perform their blend of original folk, bluegrass and rock on Friday, June 7. Bring a chair or blanket. In case of rain, the concert will take place at Sweetwater Center for the Arts, 200 Broad St. 5. Senior Scholarship Night
