
St. Matthews AME Zion Church will be hosting the Akron District Conference, with the Rev. Robert S. Hickey, Sr., pastor, as the presiding elder.
A total of 11 churches will be represented at this conference. Pastors, delegates and district officers from these churches will be attending, commencing at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7 with the Annual Communion Service.
Commencing Thursday morning the ministry leaders and pastors will present reports during the day. Pastor and Presiding Elder, the Rev. Robert S. Hickey, Sr. will give his Annual Address to the Conference.

At 7 p.m. Friday evening is the welcome service when visiting pastors and delegates will be welcomed to the community of Sewickley.
St. Matthews is extending an invitation for all who can, to come and help us welcome our visitors.  These people for three days will be a part of the community, as visitors during these three days.

Saturday is Missionary day and the conclusion of the District Business. The morning will begin at 9 a.m. with a Prayer Breakfast. The public is welcome to attend at anytime. All services will be held at St. Matthews.
