PSO musicians will hold a concert celebrating the holiday season and Ukrainian Culture which is the Fifth Benefit Concert for Ukraine on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Sewickley Methodist Church, 337 Broad St, Sewickley, PA 15143 at 6:30PM.

The Benefit Concerts for Ukraine is an ongoing chamber music series that harnesses the universal language of music to raise critical funds for those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Organized by Cheryl Redmond and Victoria Luperi, and featuring musicians from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra along with distinguished guest artists, this series stands as a powerful statement of solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Each performance seeks to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis while raising funds that help provide direct, life-saving support to those in need.

Funds raised from each concert go toward essential programs, including food and medical supplies, mental health services for war victims, veteran assistance, and aid for vulnerable groups like children, refugees, the elderly, and internally displaced persons (IDPs). All proceeds benefit trusted nonprofits such as Nova Ukraine, DTCare, and Doctors United for Ukraine—organizations tirelessly working on the frontlines to deliver vital relief.

More than just musical performances, these concerts unite individuals from all walks of life in a shared commitment to compassion, action, and solidarity. By bringing together artists, donors, and attendees, the series highlights the strength we find in community and our collective responsibility to help those in crisis. Every dollar raised goes directly to programs that provide immediate support where it’s needed most.

The Benefit Concerts for Ukraine is not only an opportunity to experience the power of music, but also a chance to stand with Ukraine in a meaningful way. Your participation brings hope, practical assistance, and a clear message of unity: together, we can make a real difference.

All donations will go to Doctors United for Ukraine. Please see their website for more information – www.doctorsu4u.org.
