Sewickley Night Market

When/Where: 6 to 9:30 p.m.on Beaver Street between Walnut and Broad streets.

Why Go: Browse items from local stores in an open-air market. Visit the Pittsburgh Pierogi Truck and have a photo taken in a photo booth using props. The event is organized by Village Green Partners.

Buddy Matthews Motorcycle Memorial Run

When/Where: 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Leetsdale VFW on Beaver Street. Benefit begins at 4 p.m.

Why Go:  The third annual Buddy Matthews Memorial Ride and Benefit for Autism, in memory of John R. Buddy Matthews begins at 9 a.m with registration until 10:30 a.m. Last bike out is at 11 a.m. Motorcycles, classic cars, hot rods, and non-riders are welcome, rain or shine. The benefit includes DJ, bands, 50/50, food, silent auction and more.

Admission: $15 for rider; $10 passenger; $10 benefit only. Proceeds benefit the Sewickley Valley YMCA's Buddy Matthews Memorial Fund for Autism.

 

HealthSouth Car Cruise

When/Where: noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at HealthSouth Sewickley, 300 Camp Meeting Road, Leet Township.  

Why Go: All cruise cars and the public are invited to attend the second annual classic car cruise.

Admission: Free.

Sewickley Street Carnival

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at Sewickley United Methodist Church, on Thorn Street between Walnut and Broad streets.

Why Go: The fifth annual carnival includes a line-up of entertainment, various musical genres with live performing bands and performances from visiting dance troops. Also enjoy food, sweets and children's entertainment, like the bounce house, carnival games and prizes. 

Admission: Free.

Jaguar Car Show

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 on Broad Street between Thorn and Beaver streets.

Why Go: Visit the annual car cruise more than 30-year-old show in the heart of Sewickley. This portion of road will be closed to traffic starting at 6 a.m.

Admission: Free.

Touring the Ivories 2013 

When/Where: 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11 at St. James Church, Sewickley.

Why Go: The concert features contemporary solo pianist and composer Michele McLaughlin with guest artist Scott Davis. 

Admission: $15 suggested donation. 

 

Touche

When/Where: 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11 at Henle Park in Leetsdale. 

Why Go: Enjoy an evening out with Leetsdale's Concerts in the Park. Touche features Nanette Corradi, Al Berger, and Conrad Engle singing oldies, disco and classic rock. Bring your own lawn chair. The concession stand will be open.
