Univest, Retail Stores Moving to Tilghman Square

Univest Bank plans to consolidate its two Lehigh Valley offices into a new two-story corporate office it will build at Tilghman Square.

The bank on Cetronia Road is part of the latest improvements owner Tilghman Square Associates plans for the shopping center. Plans include a 3,600-square-foot strip mall with two stores, including a drive-thru, to be built between the bank and Tilghman Square at 4650 Broadway.

The South Whitehall board of commissioners approved the plans Wednesday.

Thirty employees will work at the 10,000-square-foot Univest building, eventually growing to 50, a company official said. The building, which will house corporate and pension fund offices, will not be a retail bank, the official said.
