'Stoga Student Reports from Inauguration

It's a story that usually only comes around once every four years and in most professional newsrooms getting to cover a presidential inauguration is a very big deal.

For Conestoga High School Senior Jenna Spoont it was all that she expected and more. Spoont is the Managing Editor of Conestoga's award-winning student newspaper the Spoke. She was in Washington over the weekend to cover the inauguration and related events for the paper and the school's TETV television program. The student newspaper's Editor-in-Chief and Business Manager also made the trip to Washington.

Spoont's reports will appear on The Spoke's website later this week. In the meantime, she covered the inaugural live via twitter for followers.

"My experience was unbelievable, never have been prouder to be an American," Spoont said in an interview from Washington with TE Patch via Twitter.

Spoont also gave TE Patch permission to share some of the photos she tweeted from events including the Kids Inaugural Ball and events surrounding Saturday's National Day of Service which tied the Inauguration to the Martin Luther King Day Holiday.
