Protect yourself with one simple step.
Police say the number one piece of advice they can offer residents is to lock their vehicles, even when parked in your driveway. "Please write it in bold, and highlighted," Easttown Detective Lt. Scott Albee told TE Patch. "Lock your vehicles."
Albee says these are "crimes of opportunity" as theives hit in the middle of the night while residents are sleeping, simply looking for unlocked car doors.
