2 Children Injured in Crash, Police Say

The accident occurred Wednesday on Mosser Road when the driver, a 38-year-old Breiningsville woman, became distracted. She was cited for careless driving, police said.

Two children, ages 4 and 1, were injured Wednesday when the car they were passengers in ran into a telephone pole in the 900 block of Mosser Road, according to Upper Macungie Police.

Police said the driver, a 38-year-old woman from Breinigsville, was traveling east on Mosser Road when she looked down to find her purse.

Police said the woman's car veered off the roadway and struck a telephone pole.

Both children were taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The woman was cited for careless driving.
