Breinigsville Man Assaults Woman, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police say Nicholas Foster, 24, of Breinigsville was charged with simple assault and harassment Wednesday night.

Upper Macungie Police say a dispute turned violent Wednesday night and left a Breinigsville man in Lehigh County Prison facing charges of simple assault and harassment.

Police say Nicholas Foster, 24, got into an argument with a woman at a location in the 1000 block of Cetronia Road about 6:30 p.m.

According to the arrest affidavit:

  • Upper Macungie police found the woman on the street with a young child, upset and crying, with red marks on her neck and arm.
  • The woman told police that Foster hit her in the face and upper body area and threw her onto the couch.
  • The woman told police that while on the couch, Foster grabbed her by the neck.
According to online court records, Foster was arraigned by District Judge Patricia Engler of Allentown and remanded to Lehigh County Prisonl after being unable to post $20,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 7.
