Fire Marshal Rules Comfort Inn Blaze Accidental

Upper Macungie Township Fire Marshal Sam Ashmar said this morning's at the in Fogelsville was accidental, caused by an electrical problem in a room air conditioning unit of a conference room.

Ashmar said Upper Macungie firefighters were able to contain the 4:23 a.m. blaze at 7625 Imperial Way, but all occupants inn the 127-room hotel were displaced and all five floors received smoke damage.

No injuries were reported, but Ashmar said the hotel is expected to remain closed for several weeks.
