'Hell's Kitchen' Chef Jessica a Hit at Viewing Party

Chef Jessica Lewis, a Parkland High School grad, watched the sixth episode of "Hell's Kitchen" with friends and family Tuesday night at a viewing party at Roma Ristorante in Hanover Township.

Lewis, who grew up in Cetronia, survived another week with bellicose Chef Gordon Ramsay and is still in the running to win $250,000 and become head chef at Ramsay's Pub & Grille in Las Vegas.

Lewis said she could handle Ramsay's yelling and caustic comments thanks to the many years she spent as a competitive swimmer at Parkland and the University of Virginia.

"When your coach stops yelling at you that's when they stop caring," she said.

Lewis said she would much rather spend a day getting hollered at by Ramsay than endure the grueling swim practices she had at Parkland, such as swimming 20 to 25 laps under water without taking a breath.
