Joe Corcoran Running For Upper Macungie Supervisor Seat
He'll challenge incumbent Kathy Rader in May 17 primary.

Upper Macungie resident Joe Corcoran said he is circulating petitions and intends run against incumbent Kathy Rader for a seat on the township's Board of Supervisors.
Corcoran, a Democrat, said he is running for a myriad of reasons, with the main one centered on the
"We need someone to run the business of the town on a day-to-day basis and that's important," Corcoran said. "I think Mrs. Rader serves in that capacity day-to-day basis, but it would be easier if it were done by someone else."

Rader, who announced her last month, is employed as the township's secretary.
Corcoran, employed by Keller Williams Realty, said he intends to help the township and provide a new voice on the three-member board.

"I think it's a good time to have someone new on the board," he said.
The deadline for filing election petitions is Tuesday, March 8.
