Mayfair Mix-up Cancels FallOut Festival

The FallOut Christian music festival, held at Faith Evangelical Free Church of Trexlertown, was canceled after Mayfair's director left his post.

The organizers of Allentown’s Mayfair also managed the Christian music festival, FallOut, scheduled for Sept. 24 at of Trexlertown. But when the director of Mayfair left the organization last week, it also forced the cancellation of FallOut, according to The Morning Call.

FallOut, had been a popular festival, attracting about 4,000 visitors to hear top names in contemporary Christian, but it had not been held in the last four years.

The event was revived this year when it came under Mayfair’s umbrella. That was part of Mayfair’s attempt to become a multi-event organization, and pull itself out of a financial hole, the report states.

Mayfair’s executive director, Terry Glennon took over in 2005 when the organization was $260,000 in debt. That debt was reduced substantially, the article reports, to about $15,000.  But the board that oversees the Mayfair organization told Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski that it wants to move the festival in a different direction and broke its ties with Glennon.

As a result, FallOut, scheduled for Sept. 24, was canceled
