Meet A Future Leader In Upper Macungie: Ashley Chilia
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Upper Macungie is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Ashley Chilia, who are making a positive impact in and around Upper Macungie.
Ashley, a 2024 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, received the CTSO Leadership Award for her work in the Computer Information Technology program at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute (LCTI). She served as president of LCTI’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter for two years, leading the group to win champion chapter silver and gold titles and Pennsylvania FBLA’s prestigious Hollis & Kitty Guy Award. Representing LCTI at regional and state FBLA competitions for three consecutive years, Ashley qualified for nationals twice, competing in Atlanta in 2023 and preparing for Orlando in 2024.
Beyond her academic and leadership achievements, Ashley demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, logging over 120 volunteer hours locally and abroad and earning a spot on FBLA’s “Big 33” list of most active volunteers in Pennsylvania. Through LCTI’s cooperative education program, she worked at Shawn Leh State Farm in Upper Macungie during her senior year. Ashley continues her academic career at Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg to study cybersecurity, with a long-term goal of increasing the security and usability of automotive technology.
