Automobiles are no longer creating safety hazards in front of Jaindl Elementary School in Breinigsville after Upper Macungie Township Supervisors banned parking on roads surrounding the facility.
Supervisors amended township parking ordinances during its Dec. 1 meeting to prohibit parking in front of the school to address ongoing public safety concerns.
Parking is now prohibited on extended areas of Cetronia Road and Weilers Road.

Supervisors said the parking ban will help stop parking on the lawn in front of the school and allow extension of a current bike path.
