Parkland-Nazareth Part Four Unfolds Tuesday Night

The Parkland High School girl basketball team has slugged it out against Nazareth -- the Lehigh Valley Conference North Division champion and LVC tournament silver medalist -- on three occasions in this 2010-11 season.

So, as fate would have it, Parkland versus Nazareth Round 4 will unfold Tuesday night in the District 11 4A semifinals at site and time to be determined.

Parkland, the third seed in D-11 4A defeated sixth-seeded Pocono Mountain West Friday night, 41-24 to earn the right to take on second-seeded Nazareth.

The second-seeded Blue Eagles beat seventh-seeded Allen, 51-31, in the second half of Friday night's doubleheader at Dieruff.

The closest the Lady Trojans came to knocking off the Blue Eagles was a three-point loss in December.

appeared to knock the Lady Trojans out of the LVC tournament. But Parkland rebounded to qualify for the tournament and again on Feb. 15.

But Round 4 will decide who will play for the District 11 crown Friday March 4.
