'Phantom' Begins Wednesday Night at Parkland
Parkland High School will present five sold-out shows of 'Phantom of the Opera,' beginning Wednesday night.
Parkland High School will present five sold-out performances of beginning Wednesday night in the school auditorium.
School officials say more than 7,000 tickets were sold for the five shows.
The operatic production of Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel is a love triangle set in and around an old opera house revolving around the Phantom (played by senior William Marshall), Raoul de Chagny (played by senior Adam Groff) and the young Christine Daae (played by senior Elizabeth Stirba).

A total of 52 cast members, 23 crew members and 44 pit musicians will take part in the production.
Patch was on hand Tuesday night to capture some of the dress rehearsal action.
