Reading Man Cited Following I-78 MVA

State Police at Fogelsville cited a Reading man for speeding March 25  following a motor vehicle accident on the northbound Route 100 entrance ramp en route to Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township.

Police said Luis Guadalupe-Santiago, 30, of Reading drove his 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse past numerous vehicles in the right lane on while traveling on the northbound entrance ramp to I-78 from Route 100 at 11:25 p.m. 

Police said Guadalupe-Santiago lost control at the merge point while attempting a sharp curve entering I-78 and struck an unknown commercial vehicle.

Police said Guadalupe-Santiago was not injured in the accident, but was issued a speeding citation.

Police did not release information concerning the commercial vehicle involved in the incident.
