Spring Festival Continues at Grim's Greenhouse

Inclement weather has been hindering attendance, but the Grim's Greenhouse Spring Festival continues through June 30.

Inclement weather has put a damper on the first Spring Festival at Grim's Greenhouse & Farm Market on Schantz Road in Breinigsville, but the activities continue through June 30.

Grim's, well known for its Fall Festival & Corn Maze, added a Spring Festival to its lineup this year.

Owner Josh Grim said attendance has not been what they've expected due to weather conditions and recent rains, but people who have attended have come back several times.

"The families who have been coming have been coming back, because they've really enjoyed it," Grim said. "They've been here for 4 1/2-to-5 hours."

Grim said plant sales have increase between 50 and 60 percent as a result of the festival.

The 80-acre farm's seasonal celebration includes:

  • wheat maze
  • scavenger hunt
  • hay ride tours
  • petting zoo
  • play corral and sand pit

The greenhouses are bursting with spring bedding plants, flowers and vegetable plants to get your garden growing.

The kitchen is open weekends offering hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, nachos, fresh cut french fries and more.

The bakery is adding strawberry pies to the menu, which already includes apple pie, apple dumplings, and apple cider donuts. New for spring: strawberry donuts and maple bacon donuts.

Some activities are available every day 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through June 30. Complete activities are available on weekends. Check the Grim's Greenhouse website for details and admission fees.
