Supervisors Spend $100,000 On Police Computer Systems

Upper Macungie Supervisors, at their Friday special meeting, passed housekeeping items concerning the Upper Macungie Police Department.

Upper Macungie Supervisors considered the following items during its special session on Friday afternoon:

  • Passed an ordinance taking over the police pension plan for those officers coming over to the new Upper Macungie Police Department.
  • Appropriated funds for of $102,447.59 for the new police computer systems.
  • Authorized the township solicitor and traffic engineer to draft an ordinance for prohibiting certain trucks on Oldt Road, Wood Lane, Weiss Road and Arrowhead Lane.
  • Authorized the purchase of a dump truck chasis that will save the township $5,000.
