Thursday in Upper Mac: Knitting Circle and Student Orientation

Here's what's going on in and around Upper Macungie Township:

  • The Parkland Community Library will hold its monthly Knitting Circle Thursday at the library, located at 4422 Walbert Ave. in Allentown, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Spend a fun afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks. Just bring your knitting materials and enthusiasm. For knitters of all ages and skill levels.
  • New student orientation will take place Thursday at the Schnecksville Elementary School Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • The Parkland Library Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting at the library, located at 4422 Walbert Ave. in Allentown.
  • St. Paul's UCC Church in Trexlertown will hold an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at 2 p.m. and a Worship session at 7 p.m.
  • The band Alien Arcade entertains at the Molten Lounge at Sands Bethlehem, beginning at 8:30 p.m.
  • One of New Orleans’ elite brass bands visits the Levitt Pavilion at Steel Stacks at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Stooges Brass Band blends the traditional New Orleans brass sound with more contemporary sounds of hip hop, funk and R&B.
