Truck Parking a Problem on Weilers Road

Upper Macungie Supervisors ask township traffic engineers to address the concern on Weilers Road, near Jaindl Elementary School.

Upper Macungie Supervisors asked Keystone Consulting Engineers traffic engineer Scott Stenroos to investigate how a problem concerning parked tractor trailers on Weilers Road near Jaindl Elementary School can be addressed.

"It's dangerous to school buses and parents," said supervisor Sam Ashmar. "It's the same two trucks there. They're frequent fliers. If you allow one, they'll be a second, third and fourth. They're using Weilers Road as a parking lot."

A similar problem is currently taking place on Mosser Road, supervisors said.
