Two DJ Candidates Will Submit Amended Financial Statements
Petition signature challenges by candidate Ronald Clever were withdrawn.

Attorneys for Magisterial District Judge candidates  and  agreed to submit amended financial statements to the Lehigh County Board of Elections following a  by candidate Ronald Clever.Â
Clever's challenge, heard Tuesday before Judge William Ford in the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas, centered around the validity of signatures compiled by both candidates and their respective financial statements.
Five witnesses who compiled signature petitions for Faulkner were called by Clever's attorney Kevin Fogarty, who questioned how signatures were collected and where the notarization process occurred. Fogarty, after hearing the testimony and conferring with Clever, withdrew that challenge.

No witnesses were called in the challenge against Palmer and attorneys quickly agreed to amending financial statements. Faulkner and Palmer must submit the amended statements within seven business days.Â
Clever, a Wescosville attorney, said he has been interested in the seat for a long time but did not want to run against incumbent Charles Crawford. The seat is open this year due to Crawford's retirement.

The open seat in District 31-3-02 serves the communities of Alburtis and Upper Macungie, Lower Macungie, Lowhill and Weisenberg townships.
The three candidates running for Magisterial District Judge in District 31-3-02 have all cross-filed and will appear on both Republican and Democratic tickets.
On the Republican ballot, Faulkner drew the top spot, followed by Clever and Palmer. The order on the Democratic side is Faulkner on top again followed by Palmer second and Clever third.
