Upper Macungie Celebrates National Night Out
More than 100 people turn out for festivities.
More than 100 people turned out Aug. 2 at for National Night Out festivities presented by the Department.
"This brings the community and the police together," said Berks-Regional Police Chief Michael Weiser. "It's a national program and it's an opportunity to have people get to know us as a community. This brings it all together."
Department equipment was on display and printed crime-fighting materials were available, but the highlight of the evening was K-9 office Matt Gardner and his dog Hassan, who delighted the assembled gathering with a demonstration of K-9 tactics.
