Upper Macungie Police Invite Residents For Coffee
'Coffee With a Cop' program scheduled for next week.

Upper Macungie Police want to have you over for coffee.
The township is hosting Coffee With a Cop, a community policing program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice, Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the new Subway in Fogelsville.
"It is absolutely an essential part of effective community policing- a shared bond between the police department and the residents they serve,” Sergeant Peter Nickischer, head of the Community Relations Division of the department, said in a news release.
The idea is to give residents a chance to ask questions and discuss issues in a neutral setting, police said.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Free coffee and pastries will be provided.
