U.S. Census: Upper Mac Population Cracks 20,000

Official data recently released by the U.S. Census Bureau shows Upper Macungie Township's population has broken the 20,000 mark.

The township now has 20,063 residents -- 6,168 more people than the 13,895 reported in the 2000 Census.  That's a 44 percent population increase in 10 years.

The data revealed the township boasts 7,843 housing units with 7,368 occupied and 475 vacant.
