View Finder: First Day Of Spring At Rita's

Spring arrived last evening at 7:21 p.m, although one wouldn't know it from looking out the window and feeling the chill in the air this morning.

Lots of local folks flocked to Rita's Italian Ice locations all across the area Sunday to participate in the 19th annual franchise-wide free Italian ice promotion held on the first day of Spring.

Patch ventured out to the Rita's location on Hamilton Blvd., just outside of Trexlertown, to capture some of the activity.

Personal disclosure: Yes, the photographer indulged despite his ongoing diet struggles, enjoying a sugar-free mango-flavored ice.
