Here's what you need to know today in and around Upper Macungie:
- It's story time for the kids! Parkland Community Library will hold its Stories in the Schools program at Jaindl Elementary School today at 1:30 p.m. Call 610-391-1361 for more information.
- Check out Awesome Animal Oddities at the Lehigh Valley Zoo today in nearby Schnecksville. Get on the trail through the Zoo as you search for some of the world's most unique animals. Through Zoo tours, animal presentation and exciting activities, you'll learn what makes some animals stand out from the rest and why their interesting abilities are important for their survival. The zoo, located at 5150 Game Preserve Road, opens at 11 a.m. Admission rates apply.
- Have you seen a Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs game this season? Time is running out. There are only 15 home dates remaining for 2013. The Iron Pigs play Rochester tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park.
- A Facial Diagnosis Workshop will be held at the Twin Ponds Integrated Health Center in Breinigsville at 6:30 p.m.
- The Terry Hill Water Park on Hamilton Boulevard in Breinigsville is open for swimming from noon to 6 p.m.
