Zoners Grant Variance For Slippery Slope
Upper Macungie Zoning Board grants relief to developer for higher-than-normal driveway slope.

The took a developer off a slippery slope Wednesday night, granting a variance for a driveway that was too steep.
Tom McHale of the Heritage Construction Company of Warrington sought the relief on behalf of the company, which is building a six townhouse unit at 1010 King Way in Breinigsville.
Part of the driveway's slope exceeds the average 10 percent allowed by the zoning ordinance, McHale said, because of grading mistakes made by subcontractors when the sidewalks were being built.
