1. Weather: And then the rains came...and cooled down the valley! According to the National Weather Service, the high today will be a measley 89. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation, so make sure you carry an umbrella!

2. In Case You Missed It: A little bit of bad news came through the Patch yesterday. Olympus, whose headquarters are in Center Valley, confirmed that it hasin our area. How many wasn't confirmed, but the Upper Saucon location was affected.

5. Today in History: Let's go fly a kite! On June 10, 1752, Benjamin Franklin flew a kite in a rainstorm and was able to collect a charge in a Leyden jar and prove that lightning has electrical properties.
