5 Things to Know Today: June 9

1. Weather: We continue the trend of "oh my gosh, turn off the heat" weather today. According to the National Weather Service, we're looking at a high of 95 with only a slight chance of thunderstorms. Otherwise, it's gonna be sunny and unrelentingly hot.

2. In Case You Missed It: It's that time of year again. Time for senior classes far and wide to say goodbye to their high schools and...go pelt each other with water balloons. At least that's the tradition at . Photographer Nancy Scholtz caught the action of this balloon bombardment.
