5. Today in History: Isadora Duncan, the famous dancer, was learning to drive her new convertable on Sept. 14, 1927 in Paris. With the top down as a passengar, she leaned back "to enjoy the air" when her large scarf got caught in the car's rear axle. Duncan was pulled from the car and strangled by the scarf.
